Charlie and his friend Trenton went to North Piney fishing last week and he stopped and took these pictures of the beautiful Indian Paintbrush. They were so vivid red!

This is out backyard Buck population this year. There are a total of five of them in velvet right now. They hang out in the neighborhood in the shade during the day, and then cruise late afternoon till evening!

Dale and Helen Wing's visit to Wyoming

The flowers are Indian Paintbrush, Wyoming's state flower, they were just beautiful this trip.

Dale and Helen Wing's visit to Wyoming

Our Texas neighbors and friends came to visit us over Rendezvous weekend. We had a great time we went to the Rodeo friday and saturday, then Sunday after church went to the Rendezvous Pageant, Monday morning got up and went to Jackson for the day, rode the chair lift up Snowking, did the "tourist thing" and the ended the evening with a Chuckwagon dinner with the Bar J Wrangler's entertaining us to we couldn't laugh anymore! Tuesday we loaded up ATV's and rode from Moose Gypsum over the back roads to Green River Lake. We saw beautiful wildflowers. Got lots of pictures of Sheep Mountain where Helen's sister in law used to live with her family logging years ago. Then Wednesday Helen and Cyd did the "Pinedale thing" and checked out all the shops, had a great lunch at Cafe on Pine, and Chas and Dale went touring the Wyoming Range with Whit, then Whitakers hosted a wonderful hotdog roast in their back yard and we throughly enjoyed the evening. Thursday was sad, we had to all quit playing and go back to our real lives, but we hung in their till the end, we had a great lunch at Sweetwater Deli in Jackson and then took a little stroll up to Moran Junction before taking them to the airport looking for wildlife. Seems the wolves have taken their toll on the moose herds here, what a shame, we saw buffalo but from a distance....none the less here are a few pictures of their stay and play time!
