Christmas 2009.....

We have had a blast with Andrea, James and the kids here. We miss not being with Chauncey, Angie and the girls though. We walked the National Seashore on Christmas Day and found over 30 Sand Dollars! Santa Baby is Candice....too cute.

Stain Glass Master

Here are the front windows surrounding her front door that my friend Helen did. She is the one teaching me how to do stain glass. Now don't be surprised when you see mine, she is a master, I am the student! LOL

These were just simply too gorgeous to not share, seeing them in person though is the best!

Talk about Rain

Here are a few shots for the incredible rain we got down south after arriving! We simply could not believe it. Fortunately we didn't have any damaging flooding, but neighbors and others in town sure did. Over 14inches in less than 12 hours!!! The pictures are of the park, the sides of the road, and the road going to where we store the RV and boat...thought we'd have to use the boat before it was over! So far this winter hasn't been kind to South Texas, the cold and even freezing weather is what we are trying to escape! We are looking forward to Andrea and family coming for Christmas.....

The bug and the tree frog were waiting for us in our back yard when we got here, had to share their "buggy eyes" with you.

Wild Turkey

Just this quick post for now of a wild turkey in the Madera Mountains. These crazy birds came right up to you, the day before Thanksgiving! What were they thinking???? LOL

Enchanted Rock Hike

We made it to the top! This is a granite rock you go straight up! We had a great day hiking around the area. The water was over the bridge to get over to the rock!

Wurstfest

We had a great time with Dave and Karen at Wurstfest in New Braunfels, TX! We went to Gruene to check out the sites. What a great little town, we loved the Soup at the Gristmill and now we know first hand why they are famous for it! Leon Russell played at the Gruene Hall that night, the oldest dance hall in Texas!

Moab 2009

We stopped on our way to Durango this year at Moab, Utah to check out the sites. WOW what a great place! We rented a jeep and went on the "Schaffer Trail." I'm glad we did it, cause I'll NEVER do it again. That trail was a little two track with sheer vertical cliffs off the edge! The picture that looks like a hole, Chas leaned out (cause there was only 2" to spare on the road) and took a picture over hte edge. That road was wild...We all know Linda has the weight of the world on her shoulders, and now we have a picture of it! LOL

I'm in Love with my New Master Bedroom

Angie TOTALLY redid my Master Bedroom. I picked the wall colors and that was it! She surprised us today when we got home from a camping trip....WOW what a surprise! Did she do an awesome job or what?

Charlie and his friend Trenton went to North Piney fishing last week and he stopped and took these pictures of the beautiful Indian Paintbrush. They were so vivid red!

This is out backyard Buck population this year. There are a total of five of them in velvet right now. They hang out in the neighborhood in the shade during the day, and then cruise late afternoon till evening!
