Margaret Wilson....1903-2008

Charlie's Granny went to be with the Lord this year jsut shy of her 105th birthday. She lived a full life and was dearly loved by her family. We all miss her very much, especially Charlie. She was more than just a grandmother to him, he had the utmost respect and reverence for her. He and his Uncle Jim gave the Eulogy at her services, and Charlie's openning words were, "We all know how much Granny loved cats and horseback riding, and I figure by now she is saddle sore and full of cat hair!" , and at that very moment I think everyone of us there, could remember and envision her once again full of life. For Christmas I had a portrait of one Charlie and his Grandmother's last visits together painted for him by an artist in Montana, Virginia Mlinek. You would never know that she wasn't there. The painting was perfect and now he has a wonderful rememberance of Granny to see everyday!

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year. The girls hosted everything! Angie started it off Christmas Eve having everyone over for our traditional "Appetizer Dinner", we had great food and fellowship and then all went to Christmas Eve Service at the church together. Andrea and her family joined us after church for "gift opennings" here at the house. It was nice not being so over-whelmed with so many and so much. Christmas morning we went to Chauncey's and had our "gift opennings" with them; again it was nice with just the 6 of us. Then Andrea had all of us, including Charlie's brother Ron and his wife Becky, her cousin, Lisa and Ben (with boys), and then all of James family....turned into a 2o something party! We had wonderful food and fellowship once again, and then everyone found a niche, visiting or playing games. It snowed all day in fact it is still snowing and blowing as I write this...biggest storm of the season and it hits just before we take off for Texas! We'll leave on saturday and should arrive at our home in Rockport monday afternoon sometime, weather willing. We've had many of blessings this year and are thankful for each and every one of them! We wish you all a season of peace for the new year, and continue to pray that each of you has the peace that passes all understanding.....a personal relationship with Christ Jesus......
